Exploring the Second Vatican Council - A Journey Through Times and Documents

Tuesdays, 21 August – 25 September, 10-12pm (6 sessions) Newman Siena Centre, Clune Lecture Theatre. Vatican Council II was one of the most significant gatherings in the Church, whose impact upon the lives of Catholics was immense. There are people who remember the Church "before and after" and those who only know the contemporary Church and who ask: what was all the fuss about?! This program will be offered in two parts of six weeks each as an exploration of such topics as: The Lead-up to Vatican II (Church history), The Council is called, a study of the 16 documents, Post-Vatican II Developments and Pope Francis and the Spirit of Vatican II.
