Formation Workshop and Retreat - Teachers and Catechists

Fr Anthony Gittins C.S.Sp., MA. PH.D., is a widely experienced missionary priest and Professor of Theology and Culture at the Catholic Theological Union since1984. Born in Manchester, England, and ordained in 1967, earned M.A. in Theoretical Linguistics and Social Anthropology and a Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh. A member of the Congregation of the Holy Ghost, Fr. Gittins has taught, offered workshops and given retreats in more than 35 countries. Catholic Schools teachers and parish Catechists are invited to attend either day or both days. Wednesday 16 May: Workshop themed "Discipleship today – how to live mission in society like Australia – the challenge of engaging young people in discipleship". Thursday 17 May: Retreat themed "A spirituality for Mission – the inspiration that drives and supports mission.James Nestor Hall, Catholic Education Western Australia, 50 Ruislip Street, Leederville, 9-4pm. Cost $100 per person per workshop. Morning and lunch will be provided.
