Over 80 young West Australian musicians will gather at the Cathedral from various schools and universities to form an orchestra and choir; and together with their teachers and the Cathedral Choir lead the music at the Solemn Sung Mass on Sunday 29 July 11am, St Mary’s Cathedral, Perth, a true celebration of young talent. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of World Youth Day (Sydney 2008), we will be revisiting some of the repertoire written for this very special occasion - including George Palmer’s ‘Missa Benedictus Qui Venit’ and the beautiful hymn ‘Our Lady of the Southern Cross’ by Rev Geoffrey Abdullah.
