Lead, Governance, Legal and Risk

Permanent, Full-Time Role

The Catholic Archdiocese of Perth is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead, Governance, Legal and Risk to join its Governance, Legal and Risk team.

About the role - a snapshot:

1	Provide legal support across civil, criminal, industrial and commercial matters impacting Archdiocesan agencies, parishes and clergy.
2	Work on diverse governance, risk and compliance initiatives while supporting commercial transactions, property and organisational matters.
3	Join a collaborative, values-driven team and work closely with senior leaders across the Archdiocese.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide legal support and advice across a broad range of matters. • Draft and coordinate contracts, leases and commercial agreements. • Manage relationships with legal service providers and counsel. • Support governance, policy and organisational improvement initiatives. • Assist with health, safety, risk and compliance obligations. • Support property acquisition and disposal settlements. • Prepare reports, submissions and briefing papers. Essential Requirements: • Bachelor of Laws or related qualification. • Experience managing complex legal matters. • Strong understanding of the WA legal environment. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
